Yes, it is truth that the need for religion is diminishing in our time. Nowadays the people do not have time for the love, for their family and also for the God. They think only about their job and career and religion do not give any material profits and only takes time. We have a prolification of other gods like money and fame that are more important than religion. In our time people live faster and stronger, they have the need for the new emotions and religion is traditional and boring. The majority of us wants to travel, go to the discos, have a fun and religion teaches about pain and suffer and there is no place for these things in our life. Religion offers us too difficult solutions. People do not go to the church because it is not popular, it is traditional. The problem is that the world is changing very fast and the religion remains the same. The life became very commercial and the people do not remember about god. They educate their children without religion so the tradition is in the jeopardy. Christmas and Easter do not have their real, original character any more, now they are only the rest time and the meeting with family. The people go to the church when they have to or they want ask God about something. So I agree that the role of religion is diminishing but in my opinion it will not disappear because it is universal.
